We made it a couple of years ago using the dishwasher method. It was delicious but rather on the sweet side for me.

Drink it neat with ice.

Ooh...I could imagine that as a cocktail - I’d add a shot of espresso coffee, a shot of Kahlua, shake well with ice, drain into a glass and pour cream over the top - that would be an espresso martini with caramel......cheers!

Good question.. I’ve sampled it neat. I suppose you could add a mixer. Any suggestions?

I cheap litre bottle of vodka
Packet of Werther’s Originals (135g approx)

Pour off some of the vodka to allow room for sweets. Put to one side.
Add Werther’s
Top up with spare vodka (and drink whatever is left over)
Shake and shake every couple of hours or when you remember.
After 2-3 days toffees have dissolved.
Drink ?

Do you have a recipe? I made rhubarb gin recently, it's gorgeous.
