But think what you are missing. I enjoy the long foreplay for Christmas, the building up of lists, the buying bit by bit, then the wrapping.

I certainly do not do the last minute panic. So far the turkey, ham and sausage meat etc have been ordered, Christmas cards bought and the label list updated and annual letter written. Most of the requested Christmas present suggestion lists have been submitted. I have made the mincemeat, this weekend I will make the cake and next week the puddings.

By the end of the month presents will have been obtained and December can be given to wrapping, decorating, posting cards and special events: trip to Colognefor the Christmas Fair and a Christmas special ride on a restored railway.

Everything will reach its climax the weekend before Christmas when all the family arrive and the event really starts.

HI, decided to get all the present shopping done in one go...and managed it! I have made a few gifts as well........wooden boxes, painted and gemmed up, filled with goodies like make-up, nail products and even a small bottle of gin in one!

Wrote the greetings cards out too.

Such a satisfying feeling!
