According to Christmas cards our neighbours think I am called...

Someone I was at school with got my name wrong in the card I received last week. Why she’s given me a name-change after more than 50 years, I don’t know. I am kind of concerned for her, to be honest.

nina it’s actually a very friendly road and we all stop to chat and send Christmas cards but it’s only the immediate ones (half a dozen) we socialise with. Those living further down the avenue and especially on the other side of the road across The Green we only see now and then, especially those who still work.

I think it must be.
Easy enough to get similar sounding names wrong but it dosen't seem to be the case here.
Strange neighbours you gave smile

...strange variations on my actual name. We moved here over 12 years ago and introduced ourselves over the week to various neighbours.

Of course our close ones know us well but every Christmas we both have to laugh. One neighbour thinks I’m married to Barry another to Ian! And DH clearly is polygamous from the variety of names given to me. This despite the fact I write our names clearly on their cards.

Is it just us?
