The promise of a pulley for drying clothes on. It is half-finshed by now.

I think quite a few of us on here have an autistic grandson.
Our teenage DGS made a special present for us last year in woodwork and gave it to us for Christmas, wooden ornaments. He was very pleased that we liked them.It wasn’t the first woodwork present from him but was the nicest.?
This year he has hardly been in school, sadly.
I think this year the best present was a set of garden solar lights, (hanging ones for a tree) which I will put out in Spring.

mrswoo thank you, he is a lovely young man. Very hard for his mum and dad as he sufferers from extreme anxiety which affects every part of his and their lives, obviously not helped by the current situation, but he was so thoughtful this Christmas x

nogin I have an autistic grandson too. I can well understand why that box of chocolates was so special. He sounds like a really lovely young man.

A tub of celebration chocolates chosen and bought for us by our 19 year old autistic grandson, paid for with his own money earnt from his 1st experience of working a few hours a week at our family business. He also chose and ordered presents online for his mum, dad and sisters, so very proud of him ?

Chewy, a gift to treasure. ?
One of my sons bought me a pair of noise cancelling, wireless headphones.
I can listen on my tablet, without disturbing him when I can't sleep. . The added bonus, I can't hear him snoring!! ?

The handmade, rather wobbly, stuck together with glue and pipe cleaners nativity scene made by DGD aged 8 and DGS aged 4. I'll never part with it.

I hope your son continues to make a good recovery Billybob. My best gift was the news that my son and his lovely girlfriend got engaged on Christmas day. I am delighted.

Wonderful Billybob4491.

My best gift will be when I finally get to see my grandson.

The best gift I received at Christmas was a phone call to tell me my son was at last recovering from Covid.

What lovely presents did you receive for Christmas?

My daughter gave me a beautiful polished walnut shell which was hollowed out and had a tiny brass hinge on one end. When I opened it there was a silver chain necklace with a tiny carved wooden, spotted fawn attached. So unusual and I will treasure it.
