My boys say they used to hate our Christmas card "factory". I would make about cards, they had to be signed, stamped, addressed and posted - the kids were roped in for all of these jobs. Eventually I ended up doing it all myself because they hated it so much. I was lucky if I got the to sign their names.

I had to laugh when I spoke last weekend to DS2: he had both his girls potato-printing Christmas cards! I reminded him how begrudgingly he would do such things back in the day!

Either he is better at persuading them or he has managed to get them young enough.. anyway, well done them. I look forward to receiving my card!

Whoops "about 50 cards.." (don't know where that went.)

Good for you Jacky it warms the heart when you see them doing the exact same things we did with them, with their own children, despite all the moaning at the time.
Without hesitation I can admit that DD is a far more patient and hard working mum than I was.
Mind you she only has 2. so far whereas I had 4.

My Gdd1 actually enjoys making cards, but she’s only 6.
Gds (5) isn’t keen but will write his name.
Dd doesn’t send any! But to be fair she’s an awful lot busier than I was at that stage, and with 3 instead of my 2.
