Polishing my own halo re. Christmas preparations!

Rode my bike 31km into a freezing wind this morning to buy stamps and send my Chirstmas cards. Left my locked bike and walked the last 400 metres as my feet were so cold I could not feel my toes. (I was wearing warm socks and boots.)

Didn't dare wait longer, as the forecast for the coming days is horrible.

The trip home was warmer as I had the wind behind me.

Washed bathroom and wash-kitchen floor to warm myself up when I got back (and because they needed it).

Hope there are others busy polishing own halos over Christmas preparations that have been crossed off the list.

Mine is currently extremely tarnished…

Posted my cards on 1st December.

I like to be first, so people don’t think I wait to see who sends me one.

31km bike ride…… where do you live?
Halo well deserved.

Oh yes I have at least done that, presents bought but not wrapped, most food ordered, cake made, trees and decs up except I haven’t done the stairs yet. But I’m in awe of people who have a freezer full of stuff they’ve already baked, I have no room in mine for all that and usually bake on Christmas Eve.

Sorry! that was a typo, should have read 3½ km ride each way!

Halo not quite so well-deserved, after all!
