Christmas Songs that annoy you!!

I can sing Silent Night in German too Yammy . Stille Nacht. Well the first verse anyway remembered from my school German lessons. It's lovely.

I'm sorry but I really like All I Want For Christmas and my other favourite is Fairytale Of New York. Other than that it's carols. I can even remember the French ones we used to sing at school.

My favourite is Fairytale of New York, I can't stand most of the others. DD once left a job because they were playing Frosty the Snowman on repeat.
The other one I like is a well-known one sung by Bruce Springsteen I like it so much I can't remember the name.
My favourite carol is Silent night especially when DH sings it in German for me, he's not a singer more a talker.

Posted this last Christmas - Ian Brady tortured and murdered Lesley Ann Downey while Little Drummer Boy played in the background. Should be banned.

I’m not keen on any Christmas songs TBH - they do nothing in shops to encourage me to spend - sometimes I can’t get out fast enough.

Could well be some around.
People do hint at celebrity every so often..

Zoejory I wonder if people listen to the words of Fairytale of NY because it’s so depressing, the opposite of a Christmas song.

I cannot stand Fairytale of New York. I hated it when it was released. Then it used to annoy me because people would say it was their favourite Christmas song just to be different. But they weren't different. I was the different one because I loathed it. Just thinking about it now is making me pound on. my keyboard. Practically got smoke coming from my laptop.

I don't really have much of an opinion of any others. But I do like Greg Lake's I Believe in Father Christmas. Even though Greg said it was not intended to be a Christmas song.

Sorry MissA but not even Bing Crosby and David Bowie could convince me to like that song!

Little Drummer Boy, awful song, as is Grandad and Two Little Boys.I think they were all Christmas top ten hits at one time.

I love proper carols, but preserve me from sentimental ‘Christmas songs’

I don’t like John Rutter’s banal carols. I miss Christmas concerts (too old to sing now) except I am relieved I am no longer expected to sing Rutter.

I dislike every song mentioned so far apart from Mariah Carey’s. I quite like that one. I think because my grandchildren like it and we have a dance to it.

My most hated is Little Drummer Boy. I can’t bear to listen to it no matter who is singing. I wish I hadn’t thought of it now

I love most all Christmas songs. November and December are chilly, difficult months - but Christmas songs are generally wonderful. Someone always records a better version to anything less than stellar.

I'm not one to watch much TV, but I love Christmas movies.

Love Actually, Die Hard, Scrooge, White Christmas, and so many more.

Love Carols- just hate them in american style version on a loop in Commercial Centres andsupermarkets- especially from beg of November. I just get out if that happens.
