Hi all and happy advent. I'm looking for advice regarding icing my Christmas cake in the context of the egg shortage. I want to do royal icing and have read that aquafaba (the liquid from a can of chickpeas) makes a good substitute for egg whites. Has any one else tried this? Does it really not taste of chickpeas?
