The tapioca version is milky and hot. They are very different beverages.

This is basically a cassava tapioca.
So avoid if you are allergic to root vegetables.

Some people with latex allergies may also have a reaction to products made from cassava.
It's also often very sweet.

Just one important thing about bubble tea- it's not tea....

My granddaughters have been drinking it for at least 5-6 years. Mind you they do live in London. It hasn’t got to SW Wales yet. They always ask around when they visit here

It’s wrong🤮

Some of the grandchildren like it so I have dried it a few times - it's not really my cup of tea (boom boom)

I've not tried it - don't go anywhere that you can get it! But GD loves it.

Thank you Doodledog
I will have to try some .

I love it. There are two types - fruity and milky. I like the fruit ones, which are served cold. It is basically a glass of fruit juice with ‘bubbles’ of a different flavour (the bubbles are similar to small bath pearls -remember those? - made of juice). You drink the two flavours together through a wide straw. I like cherry juice with apple bubbles.
