Yes it’s started.
The Christmas cards with only one name out of the couple you sent a card to.
What happened, when, how callous must I have seemed not to be aware or worse to ignore that someone has died?

This happened to me this weekend when a phone call from the widower of one of DH’s (slightly distant) cousins rang to say his wife had died earlier in the year. It’s all very well to say I didn’t know, but I remember how each card addressed to both of us brought me a little lower after DH died.

When there’s no card at all- have they stopped sending cards, is someone too ill to face the task, or has the card just got lost in the post?
There’s a lesson in there about the importance of keeping in touch while we still can isn’t there?

What I'm guessing is Xmas card to the previous owner (passed away) has arrived. Even if I were to open it, it's very unlikely to have the senders details for me to send it back. There have been fewer arrive this year - it's sad
