Easter is nearing and we thought we'd do something egg-citing on the site! <Sorry> We've hidden four eggs around the site for you to find and the clues are posted below to help you find them. The eggs look like the image on the left.
Each egg is hidden on a specific (and different) Gransnet page, and the first letter of the title of that page is the letter you're after. The clues are in order, so you won't need to unscramble the the letters <sorry again>
So, if the clue leads you to our picnic salad recipes page, the letter you need is P. If it's a thread you're taken to, for example our National Numeracy Challenge campaign, then it's the first letter of the thread title - so the letter you need is N.
If you're not familiar with our pages, have a browse through all the different categories on our nav bar above. Under our Life & Style category we have Books, Gardening, Food, Travel, Relationships, Webchats and Technology, under Being a Gran we have Good Granny Guide and Child Development, and we've also got lots of Blogs, Campaigns, Legal & Money advice and a Local section <phew>
We've also got pages upon pages listed on our A-Z indexes for Gardening, and indexes within indexes for our Webchats, as well as a page full of Campaigns we've run in the past. But the eggs aren't that difficult to find, promise
Collect all four letters in the order the clues are given, and then you'll end up with a word. All you then have to do is submit the word on the competition form to be in with a chance of winning one of three collection of Springtime Stories and a Magnum Easter egg <salivates>
Oh, and you're welcome to help each other out with the clues but, if you guess the final word, please don't post it here. That would spoil the fun, eh?
Here are the clues:
1. Rabbits are big fans and apparently they help you see in the dark.
2. Be creative in your local community.
3. Afghan-born American novelist, we gave away copies of his third novel.
4. Preparing a well-balanced meal on a budget.
Once you've found all your letters and have your mystery word, submit your answer here.
We're closing the competition on 9 April just in time for last orders and will announce the winners on this thread and the 'Won Anything?' thread.
Best of luck!
