Remember the days when you first had children and money was tight now as a grandparent you can with their parents permission spoil them.
Remember the days when your children played up and you were under stress but you had to carry on carrying for them without scaring them etc, now when the grand children play up you just hand them back to their parents.

The GRAND in Grand Parents means that they do anything for their own kids & their grand kids. Their grand kids are an extension of their own kids & they can relive bringing up kids again but are able to hand them back at the end of the day.
They also pass on their knowledge but do not criticize or judge.

I love to be part time help and looking after my little ones when needed. I feel really helpful.

Using your entire airing cupboard contents to make a den the size of the lounge.

Loving rainy days so you can go puddle splashing, then back to Grannys for hot chocolate a warm bath and lots of cuddles.

I think Grand In Grandparent is for the knowledge & support they share.

My gran knits me everything from hats, scarfs and jumpers to doorstops, toys and cushion covers!

It's Grand to make them laugh and have fun
Grand to take some stress from dad and mum
Grand to have them come and stay
But Grand not to have them every day !

Obviously it's the children a very special gift

R = realising how lucky you are to have grandchildren
A = asking them about their day
N = nursing them when their ill or upset

You get the very best of times with them. You get to do all the fun stuff, spoil them , treat them to things their parents wont give them and then at the end of it all you get to hand them back and get a good nights sleep! As he leaves we get love you grandma and granddad ....the best feeling ever. Its always fun at grandmas house!!

when you're not too GRAND its due to bad Health
If talking of GRAND Parents its the parents of yours
who love you and spoil you, idolise and adore,
as for their GRAND Children the apples of their eye,

Being there for your grandkids is the most important. Spending time with them.

I remember how grand it was going to my grandparents houses when I was a young girl and how I loved the time spent with them. Now I have my own grandchildren I think it's grand spending time with them and hope they will remember time spent with their granddad and me as grand too!

Being the wise owl parents with life skills and experiences and plenty of knowledge...and become best friends to the grandchildren!

Being needed and having loads of fun again with the kids

Lots of love, hugs, trips out, baking and fun. Creating wonderful memories for the family.

It's grand to have grandchildren to stay, and it's very grand to be able to hand them back to their parents!

My nan puts the grand in parent she is my best friend confidant someone I can speak with about anything. She spoils me and I spoil her.
