It's that time of year again - and the launch of our Best reads for Christmas. Over £500 of fantastic books, fiction and non-fiction, great gift ideas for family and friends (and yourself - goes without saying)

Aaaaand - one very lucky person can win all the books featured on the page. To enter simply tell us what's on your Christmas wish list (it can be absolutely anything)

We will be picking a winner at random on 14 December - more details on the page

I would LOVE a spa weekend, all by myself, for total rest and relaxation

I would like to find another job as I have recently had my hours cut and times are getting more and more difficult. I would like to help more financially to the running of the house and can not do this on the money I am currently earning. We will have a great family Christmas and hopefully look forward into the New Year.

To have all my children and grandchildren around the dinner table for Christmas lunch

I would simply like more than one day off work-but I will-hopefully-get Christmas day off. A big thank you to everyone who has to work during the festive season especially the emergency services and caring professions.

I am asking for some rubber car mats for my car as I think these are easier to keep clean, you can just pick them up and tip the dirt off. It would be nice to see a bit of traditional christmas spirit about, but unfortunately this gets shorter every year. I would just like some peace in the world and the wars to stop permanently, then people would not need to risk their lives fleeing from war zones.

I would like to finish my Book Challenge [to read and review 52 books this year for a local charity]so a cleaner is on my wishlist.

I had an op to remove a malignant melanoma from my leg 5 weeks ago and the donor site where the skin graft was taken is not healing. My Christmas wish-list is for this to heal. I'd love to win the box of books for my lovely husband who has been looking after me and cheering me up. I couldn't have coped without him.

after spending last year on my own at Christmas (and i survived)my wish is for all of us to be together this year, laughter, banter and good food

Being with my daughter, son-in-law and 4 wonderful grandchildren who are coming from Switzerland and my beautiful youngest daughter and her husband who live around the corner. To have them all together is fabulous and our 6 year old granddaughter has requested a feast on Christmas day and afterwards her Dittar (grandfather ) to play his guitar so she can sing Jingle Bells. What more can I saywink

For the electoral college voters to have seen sense and gone with the popular vote. Save the world!

Can never really think of things for myself, much more pleasure in finding thing I think (hope) the Children and Grandchildren would enjoy.

I would like photograph albums to store the photos we have taken on our recent holiday to Memphis and New York for happy memories to look back on when we are reminiscing!

GrandmaMoira Tue 22-Nov-16 11:15:54

I hope that my grandchildren have a lovely Christmas. They enjoy it so much more than adults. I would also like (though it won't happen) to be invited somewhere else for Christmas. I've done Christmas every year for 35 years.

After a year of many, and varied, health problems for several family members I would like a year of health and happiness for all concerned. Health issues always put all other problems into perspective.

At my age (73) there is not an awful lot I need (I may want but I don't necessarily need). I love my 'smellies' so bath/shower products and perfume, but most of all being able to spend Christmas day with family means the world.

dahlia08 Tue 22-Nov-16 10:47:15

Top of my Christmas wishlist is good health for my Mother and sister - and me! I can do without any other presents if this came true.

jackypat Tue 22-Nov-16 10:17:05

I wish for my children and grandchildren to have happy, healthy lives and days filled with love. Oh I would really like a decent bar of lactofree chocolate

DaphneBroon Tue 22-Nov-16 09:53:48

What is on my wish list? Apart from World Peace, I am hoping (wishing) for a happy family gathering here with my DD, SIL and newest DGS and SIL's parents, especially his mum who has early Alzheimer's. She needs to enjoy as many moments with him while she can.

We are so lucky having our two grandchildren living a few minutes away from us. They are now 15 and 12, but they still expect Nana and Gramps to pull on their joggers ( without even having the morning cuppa) and rush round so that we're there for the present opening!
Wouldn't miss this for the world.

sox364 Tue 22-Nov-16 04:17:18

I'd love a peaceful day, meat not over cooked and the house ready with decorations up and wrapping done well before the early hours of Christmas morning. The last several years have been disturbed in one way or other quite majorly so calmness and no medical issues are wished for. Serenity for all please c

For my daughter to get into the University of her choice, having achieved the three A grades she needs to get there, she has worked so hard,

jhaus24 Mon 21-Nov-16 22:57:10

A happy Christmas for all the young children in the family would be my best present.

Jaxie Mon 21-Nov-16 22:44:40

I hope to forge a better relationship with my Downs Syndrome granddaughter this Christmas, as she has been reared to be very selfish and demanding. She can't help it; I can't seem to help showing my disapproval, which doesn't help anyone, least if all the child.
