It's that time of year again - and the launch of our Best reads for Christmas. Over £500 of fantastic books, fiction and non-fiction, great gift ideas for family and friends (and yourself - goes without saying)

Aaaaand - one very lucky person can win all the books featured on the page. To enter simply tell us what's on your Christmas wish list (it can be absolutely anything)

We will be picking a winner at random on 14 December - more details on the page

Having experienced some years ago the first Christmas after the loss of a loved one, my wish would be for all going through that this year to find love and support through out the season. For them to know they will learn to live again.

One year my hubby gave me a theatre gift promise (ie, he promised to spend a certain amount on theatre tickets for shows of my choosing - the theatre vouchers that you can buy don't work here in Northern Ireland) - that was a great present - I really enjoyed the two shows we ended up going to see. I might drop hints for the same thing again this year!

We don't exchange presents at Christmas as it seems un-necessary! So my wishlist is to have a really nice time over Christmas, lots of fun, to enjoy my Christmas curry and at some point some baked Camembert, and maybe a bit of snow here and there as it makes me really happy! I might get a couple of books and DVDs for our collection!

For one of my dearest friends to have a happy probably final Christmas with us all. He is having palliative chemo for advanced cancer and his determination and attitude is amazing.
For our children and families to have a stress free relaxing time as they have both had a pretty exhausting year poor things .

A new bathroom would be lovely if we are talking wishlist! But happy just to have a few weeks off work at home with the family.

I have asked for some cosy pyjamas to keep out the winter chill.

Ideally I'd like Mary Poppins to wave her brolly and get everything sorted... but something tells me that won't happen!
I'd settle for a Christmas where everyone is in good health and happy.

tw1nkle I hope your wish comes true.
My 3 year old grandson only said a few words.
Then in september my daughter sent a text to say DGS had just said a full sentence!
He is now.chating non stop!

All I could ask for is a happy, peaceful and entertaining Christmas weekend with all my family. I would also ask Santa for the same for my sister and her husband who haven't had an easy time recently. moon

I would actually love some book tokens - browsing book shops is one of my favourite things to do!

My 17 year old daughter has just given me a list of books that she wants for Christmas. We all love reading in our family so would love to win this fantastic prize.

good health

Jalima Fri 18-Nov-16 20:23:01

I'd love it if my family could all be together.
But, with Facebook and phones, we will all be in touch!

It is so much better now than when you had to book a Christmas Day phone call to the other side of the world!

A bottle of Smoked plum and leather fragrance by JoLoves would be superb (so would a new laptop but I'm not holding my breath) confused

Health, happiness and enough wealth for all my family and friends.
Selfishly a Christmas Day we are all together would be the most wonderful thing to happen.

New pyjamas. During the summer my daughter and I were looking through some old photos, and we came across the ones of me and her in hospital . She commented that I was wearing the same pyjamas that I was wearing the day she was born. She is now 19...
