It's that time of year again - and the launch of our Best reads for Christmas. Over £500 of fantastic books, fiction and non-fiction, great gift ideas for family and friends (and yourself - goes without saying)

Aaaaand - one very lucky person can win all the books featured on the page. To enter simply tell us what's on your Christmas wish list (it can be absolutely anything)

We will be picking a winner at random on 14 December - more details on the page

I want to spend Christmas playing silly party games with the 3 generations of my family. All I wish for is the house filled with laughter and love

This has been a difficult year, as our DS is breaking up with his wife of eleven years. I am wishing that the two DGC (3and6 years) can come to us and have lots of fun and love.

Enough money to retire on. No chance - but it's a nice dream!

I am just hoping for a happy, harmonious and fun time with my 3 daughters, their husbands and my 8 grandchildren. It will be the first time we will all be together and probably the last as one family lives in Australia. Exciting times. We are doing a sort of Secret Santa so the adults get one present and the gc's get 2, otherwise we would drown under a mountain of paper and string. Bring it on.....?? ?

a great Christmas is having your friends and family around you and remembering ones that are not!

I would like to have a body that is fit enough for purpose rather than the one I have now which isn't doing so well. I have smiles aplenty which I do give away freely and often. A bit if peace and quiet would go down a treat. Perhaps some snow and birds to visit my garden feeders. In fact it would be lovely if they came and actually nested in one of our boxes this year (please).

I would love to have a Christmas where the kids are playing nicely together, the Christmas dinner tastes great and everyone is healthy xxx

I wonder whether GNHQ read all these posts, or do they just pull a name out of a hat? Please reply if you do.

On my wish list is that you split or share a prize like this large bundle of books and have three Christmas winners grin.

Spread the love.

I haven't been able to think of anything when my daughters have asked what I want for Christmas but now I know - I would like a huge box of books and a slightly smaller box of dark chocolate truffles. Bliss!

bookiemad15 Thu 17-Nov-16 13:50:28

First thing on my Christmas list is always books. Unfortunately my family think I have too many so any book would be most welcome.

ffinnochio Thu 17-Nov-16 13:41:27

Share the love - why just one winner for so many books? Spread the books around ?

lablass Thu 17-Nov-16 13:36:22

All I really want is for my son's back operation to be successful so he can walk again and play with the grandkids.

Auntieflo Thu 17-Nov-16 13:27:46

I'd like a couple of days without any pain please, so that I can look after DS , DIL and GS for the time they are with us at Christmas.

I wish my health holds out so I can keep getting travel insurance! Otherwise. assuming the EHIC card is no longer valid following "hard brexit" I shall never be able to go anywhere warm for Christmas again!

helly01pbo Thu 17-Nov-16 12:43:04

Not much on my christmas list this year. I've been concentrating on getting stuff for everyone else! Saying that though, an experience day might be nice. I've always wanted to go on a bird handling day!

I'll be spending Christmas with my daughter and grandsons, and we'll be joined by my son, his wife and children. It will be a squeeze! But, at the end of a year that's seen illness, loss, pain and much change, my Christmas wish is simply for us all to spend time together, with lots of love and laughter....and having my glass topped up once the kids are tucked up in bed winegrin
