I love time off work (working in a school does have its benefits!) I hate the heat, I feel so uncomfortable and constantly have a headache... You have no idea how much I would squeal if I won this many books. Books get me so excited!

I love to light evenings and being outside with my family but I don't like being sticky hot and having to take a few showers a day!

My favourite thing about summer is family time in the garden and plenty of BBQ’s.

My least favourite thing is the hay fever.

This is a superb prize before i say anything else!!

My favorite thing about the summer is to be able to get my washing dry outside on the line, nothing like line dried clothes and bed sheets! (OMG I am like SO boring!) - I must add this is followed closely by being able to let my adorable indoor guinea pigs out into there run!

My hate of the summer is the intense heat - I dont mind low 20s with a nice breeze but anything over 23 is too hot for me and as my flat is South facing its not good! I suffer from Fibromyalgia and my meds already make me sweat and i cannot control my temperature (always hot) so its a blooming struggle! Plus the poor Guinea Girls cant cope with temperatures over 25 as its too hot for them! But they've been cooling down with ice packs.

Due my illnesses I cannot go out into direct sunlight ( skin condition) so i tend to spend most of my life tucked up in my flat - to relieve the boredom I read, im an avid reader and its my way of enjoying myself as i can learn and also get away in a book. If i won this prize it would be magnificent and keep going thru the horrid hot month of August.

Favourite - Spending time in the garden enjoying the fruits of our hard work and relaxing with a good book.
Least favourite - travelling on public transport if it's hot as it gets so uncomfortable

Best thing is living by the sea in rural location which the rest of the world seems to love just as much so come and visit. That is also then the worst thing !

Fave thing: Being able to eat ice cream at any time of the day 'just to cool down! '
Least fave thing: Putting on weight from eating so much ice cream (and fish and chips at the seaside, and rock from the seaside and..... You get the point!)

Summer, I love the birdsong, the blue sky, loose clothing and bare legs.
I hate the noise, humidity and bitey insects.

My favourite thing about summer is sitting in the shade of a tree in the garden surrounded by colurful and scented flowers, while reading a good book.

The worst thing about summer is the difficulty sleeping on hot humid nights.

I love watching Wimbledon whilst eating strawberries and cream.
I hate being bitten by horseflies, they give a particularly toxic bite!

To me there is only one "sound of summer" and that is the cooing of wood pigeons in the evening sunset.

My most favourite thing about Summer - not using the central heating, or tumble drier/waiting days for laundry to dry on indoor airers, therefore saving money!
My least favourite thing about Summer - having to work (hard) in hot temperatures, for the NHS, without any/proper air conditioning, for many hours and then, not being able to sleep properly at night, due to the heat!

Least favourite is the night-time heat and the best part is the early sunrises.

I dislike hot weather and like summer pudding.

Favourite - Getting out and about more as there's less rain.

I enjoy the sun, but don’t enjoy having to water the allotment every night!

My favourite thing is the longer lighter days and sitting outside on the patio - the least favourite is being too hot!

Best thing is seeing my Granddaughter for our annual Summer holiday. The worst thing is moths....I hate them and am convinced they hate me too !
