Why do you travel? What drives you to venture far from home and see sights you've never seen before?

Collette have spent the last 100 years taking people all over the world, and along the way they've learned that travel isn’t about the places you go. It’s about you and your reasons for going.

And everyone has different reasons. They can be big - a promise to a loved one, fulfilling a lifetime goal. But they can also be small - the blue water in Capri or the cuisine in France.

The reason doesn’t have to be happy for the trip to be important and fulfilling. In fact, the most powerful reasons probably won’t be. But they will be personal, deep, meaningful and maybe even surprising.

As the longest-running tour operator in North America, Collette has provided guided travel for 100 years. With trips to all seven continents, Collette’s guests fulfil their deepest travel aspirations in a variety of ways with travel styles that are diversified to suit every traveller’s personal style.

So, for the chance to win a £300 voucher, tell us - what's your reason for travel?

I travel for the fun of it!

It's great to visit new places to explore, or just to get away from the daily grind and relax somewhere nice.

I travel to experience different cultures, see new sights, do new things and to enjoy doing something different and exciting away from home. Traveling is so clutter free and relaxed compared to home too and I enjoy the simplicity of it all.

I travel because I like to see new places and things. It broadens my horizons and helps me understand the world a little more.

I mostly travel to see friends and family because over the decades we've scattered across the globe. But every now and then a place will just grab me and I need to see it. Right now I really want to visit Seoul. I read an article about Seoul street food and then I disappeared into a YouTube wormhole of travel vlogs. I just need to choose my traveling companion and get planning!

I travel in pursuit of better or different weather, so warm sun or to see snow. I love to see beautiful sights and I also love to visit places I have seen on TV or in films.

I travel as I love to visit other parts of the world that I usually only read about in books or the internet. I enjoy learning the areas history and culture ?

CyberNan Sun 23-Sept-18 22:07:59

When I'm not travelling to visit my Grandchildren who live in Estonia and the South of England I'm generally travelling for the journey rather than the destination and as you grow older and the kids leave home and you work sleep eat etc., your world can become smaller, travelling can expand it again if only for short while. I enjoy travelling as much for the change of routine as for the learning experience. When I'm travelling to visit friends and family I enjoy real hugs and kisses as opposed to virtual ones :0)

I had never travelled far from home till the age of 52 (2 years ago). Then I had the chance to travel to Gran Canaria. I was excited but nervous and nearly changed my mind more than once. So glad I didn't. Travelled several times since and just cant get enough of visiting different places. Given me a new lease of life and something to look forward to. Better late than never is now my motto
