It really does have to be the BFG because of his wonderful spoonerisms don’t it ?

Mr Twit, such a naughty character, but always amuses smile

mazgoli Mon 17-Sept-18 09:07:21

James and The Giant Peach. I love how the aunts get their comeuppance

Grandpa Joe from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. I just loved how it showed we want absolutely the best for the next generation and would give anything to get it for them. His delight in sharing the experiences with Charlie was beautiful and knowing everything had come good for him made him a very happy man!

Matilada is my favourite character. She is full of ingenuity,
and mischief. Balanced nicely by her appreciation of kindness.

Willy Wonka - gave his factory to a little boy

The Enormous Crocodile. An ideal book to introduce children to the humour of Roald Dahl at an early age; the croc tries so hard but is outwitted and gets his just desserts - brilliantly imagined and still makes me giggle.

Pidge67 Tue 18-Sept-18 13:46:28

Charlie Bucket, but from the Great Glass Elevator, not the Chocolate factory...

Vonzar Tue 18-Sept-18 14:27:16

George from George's Marvellous Medicine very funny and great fun.

Reebs456 Tue 18-Sept-18 18:28:22

It has to be Matilda for her resilience and determination. She was my inspiration growing up.

scabiantha Tue 18-Sept-18 18:50:09

Mrs Twit because she's so ridiculous!

myzdamena72 Tue 18-Sept-18 20:08:54
