The BFG as he taught me not to judge a book by its cover

paulineb Sat 22-Sept-18 17:03:07

Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was such a kind little boy that really wanted to help his family

AnnaSSS Sat 22-Sept-18 19:41:12

Matilda.I always want to ba like her as a child.

My favourite character is Little Red Riding Hood from "Revolting Rhymes".
It makes me smile every time I read it.
The pupils in my class loved it when I read the poems to them. Each time I read the line, "She pulled a pistol from her knickers", they would roar with laughter because their teacher had said the word "knickers".

I love Miss Trunchball from Matilda. Not the nicest headmistress but what a character!

sheridarby Sat 22-Sept-18 20:43:24

Willie Wonka because he is completely mad

shajugoo Sat 22-Sept-18 20:59:37

It has to be Mr Fox in Fantastic Mr Fox. He was always cheerful and never saw things as a problem he just went on to resolve them.

Miss Honey from Matilda as she's not only a teacher but also a person that people should aspire to be like

charrliexbeex99 Sun 23-Sept-18 03:15:41

Miss Honey from Maltilda! A kind, compassionate character who had a lot of love to give.

Its not James or Matilda
the BFG or Esio Trot,
Even though I love Willie
And the rest such a lot
I’d like to say Boy and Going So-lo
But in my heart I think I would stow,
Roald’s cheekiest chap
The one with verve
Not to say, incredible nerve.
For his bold ingenuity
And sheer power of will,
His kindly heart
Never fearful, always still.
From his poor broken tail
To his dainty white socks
My best beloved Dahl
Is The Fantastic Mr Fox !

Nannilyn Sun 23-Sept-18 06:16:31

The B.F.G. what a kind & friendly character he is, like to think I can be a Nanny like him, there when you need him or feel misunderstood!!

Jazzybbyxxx Sun 23-Sept-18 08:46:36

It has to be Miss honey from Matilda, such a kind and beautiful character ❤️

DebbieWobbs58 Sun 23-Sept-18 09:55:25

Charlie Bucket from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I love the way he shows that being polite, patient, kind, caring and not greedy, despite having nothing and coming from a poor background, wins the day for him and the other children who seemingly have everything , end up with nothing.

fullarton121 Sun 23-Sept-18 10:10:39

Willy Wonka, now that looks like a fun workplace.

ujhunt1961 Sun 23-Sept-18 10:46:17
