I relax by walking around my garden and seeing the small differences even a day has made, more ripe tomatoes to pick, a rose just about to fully bloom, the rippling call of a nearby bird just above my head, the different shapes of the clouds scudding overhead. A garden is a constantly changing environment; and I find a garden a place of tranquility and relaxation.
I will run a nice warm bath, add some deliciously smelling bubble bath and then lay back and soak my aching joints in complete silence for about 20minutes with a chilled glass of rose wine at hand. Then retire to bed and read a few chapters of a really good book. I am usually asleep by the third chapter!
I live a long way from my Granddaughter. I like to write to her every week and I find that very relaxing. Letter writing in general is relaxing to me. It takes my mind off my worries !
I love to read my kindle when I want to relax, either that or do my knitting which I’m trying to teach myself. I’m in the middle of making my grandson Rudolph the red nose reindeer which he has asked Santa for Christmas, some luck would be great, I’m not sure how it’s going to look.
I suffer from anxiety doing nothing usually brings my mind racing and feelings of dread flooding back the feelings of dread. I find walking relaxing or doing some crafts or upcylying.
