My favourite thing about being a Grandparent is holding my grandchildrens hands as they wonder at the world around them and see new things for the first time from conkers to mountains!

I see my Grandsons all the time and having no sons myself they are the best ,one is at high school and the other will start next year, it's been a real pleasure watching them grow into who they are now.

I've recently moved near 2 of my gs. After only seeing them 2 or 3 times a year before, I love how they let themselves into my cottage and make themselves completely at home to the extent that they have pj's, onesies, slippers, toothbrushes and favourite teddies up in 'their' room for when they have sleepovers.

One of many many delights, is when our granddaughters have a sleepover and they sneak into our bed for an early morning snuggle. Those sleepy warm and loving faces. priceless

My 14 month old granddaughter, Kairi has just started calling me Nana and I love it. Grandad is still Ya ya so I feel quite chuffed that there is no mistaking my name, although I must admit, that Ya ya is soooooooooo sweet! smile
