I have started to do some of the school run with my granddaughter Violet aged 4 and it is so lovely seeing all the little children, makes me remember when I was in my twenties taking my little ones to school. You have to cherish every single moment because they grow up all too soon and then you are the grandmother in the blink of an eye!
Looking up at the blue sky and seeing starlings dance. Having my cheek sucked by a gummy, smiling grandson. Involuntary foot tapping to favourite songs. The quiet rebel inside that pokes me daily, invisible to anyone but me. Bulbs peeping through the soil. Dreaming.........
Definitely my Grandchildren and GGC - from 2yrs to 34 yrs, to keep me up-to-date with a changing world from social media, political correctness, technology to teenage clubbing and nursery/primary schooling changes. They keep me young.
