blahblahblah1 Tue 01-Oct-19 20:23:35

Hansel and Gretel. A house made of sweets!

wotsitdooda Tue 01-Oct-19 20:17:03

I loved the magic porridge pot, the idea of the pot just growing and growing like some amorphous blob and taking over the town just held some morbid fascination for me; death by porridge!

Meeman Tue 01-Oct-19 20:16:23

The Water Babies, I always wanted to be able to be free, swim and float like them

susani2dly Tue 01-Oct-19 20:07:20

Just like real life! Not!

Pinocchio.A real fairy tale. Wonderful for children

devonlady Tue 01-Oct-19 19:25:34

It had to be Rapunzel - I envied her her beautiful long blonde hair (I was brunette with hair to my waist - my mum never let it go beyond my waist)

rforthebear Tue 01-Oct-19 19:12:43

Hansel and Gretel as I have a sweet tooth and also it is full of exciting mystery.

Juneann63 Tue 01-Oct-19 19:09:42

Hans Christian Andersen's Thumberlina. I loved the film and
still remember the words to the song after more than 50 years.

The Princess and the Pea - and I still feel every wrinkle in the sheets smile

Glimble Tue 01-Oct-19 18:09:26

Goldilocks and the three bears. I had a book with wonderful illustrations in it and I can clearly see in my mind the picture of Goldilocks sitting on the floor after the littlest chair gave way.

kevrigs Tue 01-Oct-19 17:36:18

Hansel and Gretel - a frightening tale but a great ending.

Millieangel Tue 01-Oct-19 17:14:52

Cinderella definitely. Who doesn't want to meet their Prince Charming?

wonderwoman19780 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:54:30

The Elves and the Shoemaker. I loved all the pictures of the interesting shoes the elves made.

Kaggi60 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:21:47

Little Red Riding Hood and the story book was worn out reading to the children but it was used a lot.

Mrsbeekeep Tue 01-Oct-19 16:20:45

Heidi, I loved her simple life, rosy cheeks and even her ‘gruff’ grandfather, he obviously loved her.

Dee78 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:19:37

My favourite was Dumbo as it was so magical that he could fly I thought if elephants could fly then I could but soon had lots of bruises from trying but still enjoy watching.

lynne2496 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:18:55

Hansel and Gretel because my parents couldn't afford to buy us sweets when we were young. The idea that 2 children could eat a full house was a dream come true

gerryfiltness Tue 01-Oct-19 16:18:04

Snow White & the Seven dwarfs because it was the first film I went to see.

harmony81 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:13:21
