I used to love the Princess and the Pea - just the thought of being able to prove I was special and important by such extraordinary means! Trouble is I always slept like a log as a child, so I'd never have passed the test!

Loved Little Red Riding Hood when I was small. I still like being scared.

Loved Cinderella due to its rags to riches story. And it was a happy ending and the wicked stepmother and stepsisters got their comeuppance.

It was Pinocchio for me.

Three Billy Goats Gruff is my favourite as a child, parent and grandparent as you can really go to town with emphasising the goats and of course the Trolls voice

helenrj Wed 18-Sept-19 18:18:37

The Princess and the Pea because I had a lumpy mattress and thought I must be a Princess

vtroll Wed 18-Sept-19 17:46:44

I loved Sleeping beauty and still do. It's so romantic and lovely

I was Cinderella, after all those struggles she still showed empathy and compassion for those around her. She got her happy ending.
Oh I loved her blue ball gown, wished I had a dress like that...……….and those shoes. Maybe that's why I went to work in a shoe shop!!

CCHH Wed 18-Sept-19 17:19:47

"Who's that trip trapping over MY bridge?"..... must be the billy goats gruff!

Tillylil Wed 18-Sept-19 17:19:15

Cinderella. I love how good triumphed over evil.

Dorita Wed 18-Sept-19 17:10:14

The Three Little Pigs and their houses. I was amused by visualizing them building their houses and the moral of the story.

musky50 Wed 18-Sept-19 17:00:31

the elves and the shoemaker hoping to fix the holes in my shoes

Claire11 Wed 18-Sept-19 16:53:56

Cinderella. I've always loved happy endings, good people and good deeds succeed rather than selfish and unhelpful people. A rather simple way to teach children how to be kind and share.

Tkcash Wed 18-Sept-19 15:56:39

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

DUDY Wed 18-Sept-19 15:56:33

I loved Rumpelstiltskin! My favourite part was when the queen said his name and he stamped his foot hard on the ground. I can still remember the picture of that in my book as a child and laughing out loud. That brings back happy memories, I read it so many times smile

DiJones Wed 18-Sept-19 15:50:35

Rapunzel, how I longed for her long hair.

padleys Wed 18-Sept-19 15:45:10

Cinderella,

Goldnotold Wed 18-Sept-19 15:16:41

Cinderella was my favourite childhood story and still is today. I enjoy seeing Cinderella in pantomimes at Christmas with my grandaughter. I loved reliving my childhood dream of dressing up in a ballgown like Cinderella many moons ago on my wedding day when I married my very own Prince Charming. Fairytales can come true after all and we have been living happily ever after for 27 years so far so there are some happy endings .

The Magic Porridge Pot

Pamaga Wed 18-Sept-19 15:04:44

Rumpelstiltskin. Loved the scary little mannikin!

irenepeppie Wed 18-Sept-19 15:01:29

Hansel and Gretel - my friends and I played in a wood that had a mysterious house in it. We would picnic in wood and leave trail of crumbs to follow home

kazz123 Wed 18-Sept-19 14:58:53

I loved my Twizzle books. I dont know if any one else remembers him? He was able to extend his arms and legs so he could reach things and save the day.
