I have seven grandchildren aged 18 to 6 years. I would take them to Simla, India. Where spirituality permeates everything and they might realise what it is that is missing from our lives in the West today.

I would take them anywhere in the world where they could experience the majesty of animals living in their natural habitats as this is a luxury future generations might not have.

I would take them to Lapland to see the real Father Christmas while they are still young enough to believe in magic, fairies and elves.

I would take my grandchildren on a trip of a lifetime to South America - it sounds an amazing part of the world with a wide variety of countries, foods, culture and geography.

cathisherwood Wed 09-Oct-19 10:05:36

They would all want to go to different places so it might have to be a round the world trip - one is mad about venomous snakes and wants to see snakes in Australia - one would like to climb Everest. Another has always wanted to see Disneyland. One would prefer to leave Earth and go and visit the other planets
