I would love to take my grandchild to Legoland, Windsor. I know he would love it. His favourite thing is building models and creating things with his lego.

I would take her to Norway to see the fabulous scenery and to visit the wonderful little villages by the fiords. We would go to Bergen plenty to see and do there lots of lovely parks to play in. We would go shopping for a playmate for her big troll.

I'd love to take them to the northernmost part of Norway, during those two months in the summer when it is 'The Land of the Midnight Sun'. It would be totally magical!

And then I'd want to go back with them at a different time of year, so they could witness the Aurora Borealis.

I would take them to Florida and Disney World as all children should experience the magic. As Walt Disney famously said
“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever.”

Sofa Mon 07-Oct-19 19:05:02

I would take them back in time to meet some of their very interesting ancestors.

I would take my grandchildren to the Snowdonia National Park to see the Red Kite in flight and to the Welsh Mountain Zoo to see conservation of smaller animals in action such as the seals, flamingos, red squirrels and red pandas. Teach them whilst they are young to respect and conserve animals of all kinds :D

If there was anywhere to take my new gandaughter it would be where I took her mum and myself when she was growing up we used to go to the forest and the beaches .hunting for bears....she always just missed the big bear. Once or twice she would tell me her stories and colouring in pictures of her big bear hunting ..sometimes in autumn and winter we would be in the forest .in the spring and summer time we,d be at the beaches...hiding in the sand dunes looking to see if we could spot the bears...we will be doing this with our grandchild..as her mum believed it That tale .She has asked us to keep up the pretence for the next generation.big bear hunting.x

I would take them to Wales so that they could experience how beautiful some parts of the UK are, that they could visit a red kite feeding station to see these aerial acrobats close up as well as see them soaring in the sky above my better half's isolated family cottage, along with buzzards and loads of other birds. The only place I have ever seen wild badgers (we had to stand very still and they came within feet of you - so cool). I would love the kids to see nature at its best, to learn to love and look after living things, respect the countryside and admire trees and hedgerows, see how farmers make spaces for wildlife as well as domesticated animals and their crops. I know the world is full of wonderful, exotic, hot, pretty, interesting places, and ideally I'd love them to be able to travel extensively and see a lot of them, but it would be good to start nearer home, be realistic and practical, teach them to love what is all around them, pretty much on their doorstep.

M00se Mon 07-Oct-19 16:42:15

I would love to take them to New Zealand.

I would take my grandchildren to the Greek Islands. We would island hop on a sailing boat, spend hours on the beaches and in the sea and explore the different islands with lots of eating of course.

queenie68 Mon 07-Oct-19 16:18:09

To St Lucia so they would be walking on a volcano and be able to see whales and dolphins where they belong in the sea

grannyactivist Mon 07-Oct-19 16:14:12

I would take my grandchildren to the Helford River in Cornwall. We would sail to a little beach for a picnic lunch and in the evening we would have a bbq and toast marshmallows on the fire.
