I could play 'kerbie' for ages - throwing the ball across the road, aiming to catch the kerb and have the ball bounce back to you.

I simply loved playing marbles!

Mine is twosie balls. basically singing a song whilst catching two tennis balls against wall. i got really good and can still remember some of the songs. It is a good workout too lol

I loved reading and still do! My mother bought my books so I used to spend my pocket money on comics. I remember Diana, Princess Tina, Bunty (anyone remember those cut-out dolls and clothes with fold-down tabs printed on the back page of Bunty?) and then progressing to more grown-up titles such as Valentine, Mirabelle, Romeo and Jackie... ahh, those were the days!

When staying with my grandparents in the 1960s, my sister and I would get in their bed around 7am for tea, biscuits and play eye spy.

We always enjoyed playing Monopoly when I visited cousins and aunts and uncles at Christmas, I still enjoy playing the game with my own family now

One of my teachers at junior school, Mrs Etches, taught me how to crochet and I will forever be grateful for that. Over the years I have crocheted gifts for my friends' newborns, clothing for myself and my daughter and 100's of Minion Easter Eggs to help my daughter raise money for the World Challenge charity project. It's a skill that is never lost.

In the Brownies and Girl Guides, collecting and earning badges, esp anything to do with wild life and nature, I learnt loads about trees for instance, just collection the fallen leaves and finding out what trees they came from and putting them into scrap books, now in my 69th year these lessons in life are still useful to me.

Making mud pats and drying them on the wall, thinking about it now seems the most senseless thing to but we had hours of fun doing it at the time

Used to love my roller skates! then went to roller discos when i was a little older

I used to love my magic set which I received for my 8th birthday. I felt very important entertaining at my own party.

Cockling on the beaches of Carmarthenshire with my parents , brothers , sisters and my Aunt , Uncle and two cousins. Wonderful memories.

I used to play whip and top where we coloured the top of the spinning top with coloured chalk and wound the whip round the top and then released it to see how long it would spin for and to see the pattern our chalking had created when it span.

I remember a game called Mousetrap very fondly. I think it must have been a game we played as children in the early seventies. I can vividly see the picture of the haunted house on the game board and my three brothers trying to cheat ! Fun times.

My brother and I used to make up an adventure which always involved building a den in the garden from where we could spy on the enemy ( this could be dad feeding the chickens or mum pegging out washing ). We always needed to have plenty of rations in case we were under siege of course. We really thought our parents hadn't a clue as to our whereabouts! We always planned to go back out there by escaping through the window when we were put to bed. Of course that never happened but oh the planning and anticipation
