It's that time of year again...

If you are stuck for gift ideas for family/friends, look no further than our round-up of the best books for Christmas. From psychological thrillers to women's fiction, autobiographies to cookbooks (and everything in between), there really is something for everyone.

And, as ever, we are giving one lucky person the chance to win everything featured on the page...worth over £800. All you have to do is tell us, on this thread, who you'd most like to find under your tree this Christmas (and why).

We will be drawing a winner at random at midday on Monday 16 December. Terms and conditions apply - more details on the page.

My brother-in-law, he died last week and my sister is bereft without him. I wanted to say my son, who moved to Australia twelve years ago, but I couldn't be that selfish.

I would love to find any one of a number of historical figures under me tree, Anne Bolyn or Henry V111 or maybe Eleanor of Aquitaine. I am an avid reader of historical fiction and often wonder when I read these books what the truth is, it would be great to ask the actual person concerned and find out what really happened and why!!

chris8888 Mon 25-Nov-19 16:16:43

I would like to find Tommy Cooper as he could keep all the kids entertained with his `magic going wrong` tricks.

I would love them to my sons who where stroppy teenagers when they died and now have thriving careers. Then they would have to meet our wonderful grandchildren.( Not sure they would have the energy for the two little ones. )
