I always welcome the love of my life, and long-suffering wife Carol to be involved in anything that I do. At the end of the day, She will get better results than me anyway.

I would love it if my partner wanted to get involved in something which I am interested in.Sharing a hobby with a loved one can make it so much more enjoyable.

Sometimes its nice to get a different perspective but we each have our own interests which provides some independance and wider social circles

i object emails are private and i hate him looking over my shoulder no respect

My husband never becomes involved in my jobs/projects without being asked and then he will help.He is too busy with his own DIY but will leave this if needed.

Two minds are better than one - so usually it works out better !

Zoeyd1983 Fri 08-May-20 23:35:36

I prefer to share

debndave999 Fri 08-May-20 15:18:11

I don't mind it makes a change from her watching only fools and horses all day.

laura549 Fri 08-May-20 15:11:24

I don’t mind sharing! We make a great team!

chinichats Fri 08-May-20 14:02:37

I don't mind at all, it's nice that he is interested in what I do

Nannan2 Fri 08-May-20 13:13:52

Id keep the book, and pass the fitbit to my lovely son.(one of 2 who lives at home) they both often want whats mine...sigh....hmmgrin

Nannan2 Fri 08-May-20 13:11:44

When i did have a husband(i hate the term partner if your actually married to them, its sounds like a business deal)! If he took over what was mine,id do a swap..

carolboz Fri 08-May-20 12:03:24

We dont have specific his and her activities, if one of us is trying something new and the other one is interested they will probably have a go too. If not they will carry on with their own specific interest.

josephinakaterina Thu 07-May-20 23:08:59

Usually he knows what his strengths are and I know what mine are, so this isn’t a problem often, though he does interfere when I cook

NanaShug Thu 07-May-20 22:07:16

We've shared so much over the last 50 years that not sharing would be odd...!

Audrie57 Thu 07-May-20 15:19:59

We both have our own interests, with me its the usual, knitting, reading, crochet, gardening, he will cut the grass, but thats it for the garden on his side, he likes to make things from wood, so spends time in his workshop. I go in with a cuppa, and leave But we have some interests together, so we have time together doing what we like. it works for us.

deecee19 Thu 07-May-20 14:11:55

I don’t have a partner but would love both the book and the Fitbit ?

ExD Thu 07-May-20 12:42:10

It doesn't ever happen, he's far too busy working. He's a farmer. And that's the way I like it!

Nonnie Thu 07-May-20 11:11:50

He does but nothing serious, he eats my chocolate, looks at what is on my screen and often tells me a better way of doing the thing I have just finished! Heyho, I probably do annoying things too. Anything important he is happy to leave to me and I leave him to know all about football. grin

trisher Thu 07-May-20 11:08:33

That would be difficult- he is no more! And he always had his own interests.

petbaal Thu 07-May-20 10:27:58

Inevitably whats mine becomes hers and vice versa!

Pennyyoung1 Thu 07-May-20 05:53:04

He would be more then welcome, but I know he would give up after a few minutes!

peanutmum Wed 06-May-20 23:57:33

he enjoys joining in

cupaffull Wed 06-May-20 22:15:58

I'm fast out of the blocks, able to think outside of the box, but not a planner or finisher so will mostly welcome a partners input to bring matters to a conclusion.
I will often load the gun and let him fire the bullet in contentious matters.
