My partner never gets involved in what I consider to be "mine" unless of course you include telling me how I should have cooked something, even though he never cooks!
I always 'allow' their first interest , let them start on their own with my interest and if they really are 'in to it' they will carry on with it, another convert to my hobby/interest, is always a joy.
From the day we married in 1978 I became we so nothing is exclusive. Often we have tried each others activities both in and out of the home, some we have continued with, some we have relinquished happily.
Have not got one but if did,and was getting on with him or her, would be glad I think, it's more enjoyable when you can share an experience or interest.
He tends to take over, so i just leave him to it. As long as the job gets done i dont really care who does it. When we do do something together, we usually work well as a team.
