I would always be happy for my husband to share my interests.

My Cat is not interested in joining in much, but if I fall asleep in front of the TV, she likes to join in with the nap

He tends to take over and I give up!

I get grouchy but secretly pleased that he is showing an interest in my confused and otherwise exciting life.... wink ?

It depends what it is. It's good to share, but you also need to have your own interests.

I like to do things together with my husband, 40 yr anniversary in August, I’m happy for any assistance any day,my husband runs the odd marathon usual one a year , he has always tried to encourage me to join him running , maybe if I won the fit bit it would give me that incentive .

It depends who designated it mine! Someone, somewhere, decided that ALL the laundry is mine, but I'd love it if anyone in the house would join me in doing it!!

sometimes I find it annoying, like he tries to take over. I am an independent woman and am more than capable, so I find it undermining. It depends what it is really.

I don't mind always happy to share experiences and hobbies with hubby after all he is my best friend too.

Depends what it is. Most things I would enjoy sharing with him but my friendship with my bestie is just mine and I think it's important to have some things to yourself. I'd probably just ask him to go see his friends when I see her x

I welcome it to be honest. It's nice for us to have shared interests like cooking and working out.

I think it's important to have an interest just for yourself but I enjoy being alone. I like to just focus on myself for a little while.

I dont mind at all

It's actively encouraged in our household. We may be together 24/7 and have our own interests and hobbies but coming together to either cook, do DIY or gardening etc. is also enjoyable and we don't fall out very often.

We tend to do separate things ever since he 'helped' on my allotment and came back home to tell me about this big root he'd had to remove. I got to the allotment the next day to find my rhubarb on the compost heap.

It can be rather galling if it is something a partner has ignored or sniffed at for years, when they suddenly launch themselves into it with great gusto and leave you behind. It's a lesson to place importance on what YOU want to do, whether they are interested or not. And not feel too miffed when they either do it better or not up to your standard! Let's face it, it depends on whether it's a fun thing or a boring thing too.

I have always tried to encourage my lovely (but long-suffering) wife Carol to join with me during my daily exercise routine all to no avail until recently when we commenced lockdown. She is now exercising with me on a daily basis with lots of enthusiasm, and long may it continue. x

I love having shared interests with my Husband and am happy if he takes an interest in what I do. I don't have a problem if he wants to have a go at something I normally do, either.
