I love when my partner gets involved, especially with the housework haha. I'm not brave enough to let him join in with cooking though, I don't fancy being poisoned.

It would depend on what thing it was

MeganR Tue 26-May-20 22:46:35

It really irritates me and feels like an invasion of space when my partner gets involved in things that are mine!

Love playing games

Penelopa024 Tue 26-May-20 23:08:23

I have one of those husbands that likes to know everything ...in some ways I learnt to live with it and some things i tell him the boring bits until he loses interest himself smile

DUDY Tue 26-May-20 23:11:26

I suggest nicely that he might want to do something else! wink

naomi234 Tue 26-May-20 23:35:54

I would love it, he rarely takes any notice of my hobbies and interests

Lorrainep Tue 26-May-20 23:55:20

I don't mind sharing interests, a shame that they aren't as keen to share chores though!

Annalb83 Tue 26-May-20 23:56:38

I like my husband to get involved and show an interest. It’s more fun doing it together.

It can either be productive in a 'two minds better than one' way, or annoying in a 'they knowbest' way.

Happy to share!

kissmeraas Wed 27-May-20 00:16:57

It's usually pretty amusing grin

saraha48 Wed 27-May-20 00:20:10

jan378 Wed 27-May-20 00:20:47

curvy398 Wed 27-May-20 02:53:54

TwiddleDee Wed 27-May-20 03:30:07

I love it when a partner wants to get involved in my hobbies and interests, it shows they want to spend time with me, and strengthen our bond.

debbie365 Wed 27-May-20 05:50:04

Unfortunetly my Husband died 18 Months ago so i wish he was here to get involved

collif Wed 27-May-20 06:43:06

Really happy to share my interests with him. I think it's nice to have company and someone show an interest .

Inthepink06 Wed 27-May-20 07:28:16

It can be difficult to let go of something such as cooking, but it is always about balance. When my DH retired he took on most of the cooking, mostly successfully but we have had some strange combinations of flavours!

xjolouisex Wed 27-May-20 07:36:59

whatever mines usually his and vice versa thats how our marriage works if not we would discuss why the other one would want to use it

gigig Wed 27-May-20 07:45:46

ll lets loose until I give in

Pinkkc Wed 27-May-20 08:00:46

I would get annoyed, but would just talk to him and we would sort it out eventually.

Murtle50 Wed 27-May-20 08:03:10

he does try to take over and show that he can do things better but i usually prove him wrong .... well except when it involves DIY and building flat pack furniture as i am not too brilliant at that !

Horatia Wed 27-May-20 08:06:21

We've found that some of my work and hobbies suit him well such as ironing, which he is brilliant at. He's a worried man cooking though and stands staring at the cooker throughout the whole time he's cooking, so we agreed that's not for him.
