We have recycled all sorts of things found around the garden & in the garage to save going out shopping or sending to the tip. Repurposing they call it. Grown far more veggies this summer. Have saved money doing this & it looks pretty good! Always take our own bags for shopping. Have cleared out the deep freeze - eaten up, invented meals! Enjoy more meat free meals whilst in lockdown. Haven't bought any new clothes for a year now. Next job is going through what I have & taking to charity shops as they reopen. Decorated using up paint we already had left over from different projects. Again looks good & cost next to nothing. I think we've all learnt to be more careful during these strange times doing things our parents probably did in the war time.

Consume less, especially clothes, meat and farmed fish. Use energy saving devices in the home. Use the train when travelling, rather than flying (in Covid free times!) and importantly joined a pressure group to put pressure on governments to bring about change.

We have added all the energy saving devices that we can think of in the house - variable flush toilets and taps, led lightbulbs, ground source heating, double glazing and increased insulation. Our garden is pesticide free and filled with insect friendly plants. We have built a small wildlife pond and grow our own fruit and veg.We recycle, buy local, don’t waste food and walk rather than use the car. As we learn more we will increase our efforts.

We cut up cereal boxes to use as shopping lists . envelopes for paper , we also buy large bags of food so less packaging, cycle more and use our own bags when shopping, Buy from charity chops to recycle , it is so easy to do all of this .....

We try to recycle and reduce waste as much as possible. With my grandson I try buy second hand clothes and toys where I can so as to reduce plastic waste. I also love to get him wooden toys!

I recycle everything , not use to much water . I stopped buying bags and any left over food I freeze .

Buying locally & supporting farm shops for fresh vegetables & eggs.
Donating & buying from charity shops.
Making face masks from Unwanted cotton shirts rather than buying disposable masks.
Using less fossil fuels by walking, cycling more & by wearing extra layers of clothing when cold instead of more central heating.

I'm vegan and don't drive anyway. Recently, I've reduced my use of detergent by using an Eco Egg for all the laundry - except whites.

I think very carefully about what I buy to reduce packaging, recycle everything I can, buy solid wood furniture (new or old) and natural fibres. I'm more aware of reducing consumption of electricity, water and gas.

I walk or cycle whenever I can (good for health as well as the planet) too!

We grow our own vegetables, walk where we can, cycle a lot, even got a cheque back on our car insurance for very little use during first few months of pandemic. Have used chalk paint to totally change my teak dining room suite rather than dispose of same. Recycle or donate to charity shops when we can - alas teak not being fashionable they don’t accept same. Their loss is my gain as I now have a lovely updated smart anthracite table & chairs which is much admired by all

Compost everything I can, buy only new underwear, buy local food, thermostat turned down 2 degrees, walk to local shops, grow bee friendly plants and grow own veg.

I buy prelovedclothes, not new, mainly from Charity Shops. OYou can get some fabulous things at bargain prices. Obviously I make sure I wash the clothes thoroughly before wearing them. By buying preloved, I am helping the environment, it's cheaper for my budget and I'm giving to charity at the same time, so it's a win, win, win situation!

I recycle,reuse, donate good stuff to charity shops . Also take own shopping bags and rewash plastic food bags for reuse. Freeze down leftovers for reuse.Revive bread etc by holding under tap then reheating .

Growing vedge and letting part of the garden go wild encluding the front garden which not all the neighbours think is cool. Insect homes for butterflies and bees

Use water butt in garden to water my plants.

I've been a keen recycler for a long time but this year during lockdown I've concentrated on making my garden wildlife friendly by dedicating an area for attracting bees and butterflies. I've enjoyed doing it and seeing the results.

Not changed our cars for 15 years plus and don't intend to. Use freecycle loads for moving things on. Cut down drasically on food waste and growing our own this year - living the dream.

I have taken to walk to the local village shops to purchase items rather than jump in a car and go into town.

Have my own veggie patch, cycle most of the time, grocery shopping once a week. Planted 382 trees, to help the environment.

Minimize the use of our car.
Shopping is a rucksack and a cycle
Anything local around a 1 mile is a walk

Recycle. Pick up rubbish on our moorland walks & take a bag when on the beach to pick up plastic. Watch documentaries like Extinction.

I recycle everything that. Can be recycled and turn off any electrical items that aren't being used.

Eat mostly plant based/vegetarian (very occasionally chicken). Recycling everything possible. Walk or take the bus. Clothes/shoes/books mostly from charity shops or ebay bargains. Washing usually done on 30 cycle. Meals made from scratch - nothing wasted. Lights off if no-one in a room. Central heating used minimally (put a jumper on!).

Spending a lot more time on our allotment, fresh fruit & veg, reusing jars for preserves and pickling, food waste going into the compost
