I have started going to charity shops and looking on local selling sites before buying new, there are some real bargains out there.

Using as little energy as possible, looking into better household fuelling options and recycling as much as possible

I had been hording for years so while I've been stuck at home more due to Covid 19 I've taken the opportunity to de-clutter and donate to charity. I'm now trying not to build up more clutter by living much simpler, only buying what I need and reusing and recycling which in turn creates far less waste.

We recycle as much as we can, all peelings, paper, card etc go into our compost bins (we have built 3!) We are growing as much fruit and veg as we can and try to always cook from scratch

I am going to give up plastic bags

I turned vegetarian recently and am trying to buy local produce wherever possible.

Not sure I have done more due to lockdown as try to be proactive. We recycle what we can, waste minimal food, use compost bin and collect rain water. Grow our Vege. A positive is driving less though as partially working from home, so that's good.

I definitely think more now before I buy anything. Do I need it? What did it take to make it? Can it be recycled when I've finished with it? etc. etc.

We have used energy saving lightbulb for years, and have good levels of insulation in our house. We also recycle as much as we can.

I’ve went vegan and am reducing my plastic use

We have started to walk to the school instead of driving, My 8 year old is currently learning about climate change and Greta Thunberg. She is very keen to make the changes and have asked me to not to buy fruits and veg in plastic containers. She know all about recycling but she wants us to stop buying single use plastic so we have started buying Yoghurts in family size containers, No fizzy drinks, fruit and veg from the market and we have donated their unwanted clothes and toys to charity shops, which she helped me to pack everything.

Not wasting food and not using my car

I bought an ebike and am using it to cycle to work some days and have changed all my lights and bulbs to led's in the last few weeks

I'm doing whatever I can to recycle and reduce my plastic usage by swapping to alternative products,

I'm also cycling a lot more and using my car less for smaller journeys.

Recycling everything we can, we only eat meat 2 maybe 3 times a week and try to limit our use of electric and water. It might not seem like much but if everyone did the same it would add up.

The most recent thing I have done to help the climate crisis is focus on food waste. I freeze as much as I can, only buy what I need when I need it, buy loose fruit and veg and use my own bags, and have started my own composting pile in my garden ?

For some years I have gardened organically; use a compost bin daily; recycle as much as possible; shop locally; walk as much as possible; use a water butt for the garden and use plants as much as I can which do not need me to water; and am teaching my 4 year old grandson to enjoy eating produce he/we have grown together. My garden is bee/butterfly friendly.
