I am being really conscious of the impact daily living has on the environment. I recycle everything I can, and also look at something and think when I have used this product what’s left, I have recently returned to using soap rather than shower gel as every time you finish a bottle of shower gel you are left with an empty plastic vessel and x that by a family of four sporty/clean fanatics that’s a lot of empty shower gel bottles to be recycled. I have also invested in reusable beeswax wraps to avoid cling film - little subtle changes but all beneficial

I am cycling more, meal planning to avoid food waste and recycle all we can

I recycle everything I can and also try and just buy food I need so not throwing out wasted food

We recycle as much as possible. Rain water is used to water the plants in the garden. We check the weather forecast, so that we can peg our washing out instead of using a tumble drier.

I recycle wherever possible. Walking shorter distances, using public transport.

I've set up a mini-recycling centre for our road. We have several very elderly people who can't get to the local recycling facility and our refuse collection teams don't take any plastics apart from plastic bottles. We've got a big garden storage box for people to drop off their plastics and items they can't take to the recycling centre and once a month I take it along and make sure it all gets put into the correct containers to be recycled. We are all now sending much less to land-fill - which has to be a good thing.

I have not brought any new clothes this year. Instead of buying new we are repairing where possible

I'm walking to the shops now instead of taking the car and I'm recycling everything that's possible to recycle. Wish someone could invent a sellotape that could be recycled. I spend ages peeling the tape off of boxes and packaging. They have even started to seal tablet boxes with the stuff. Please someone invent a sealing tape that can be recycled.

Changed to a vegan diet and definitely not reaching for the central heating switch straight away - have plenty of warm jumpers to hand!

Recycle as much as I can

I recycle everything I possibly can. My husband says ours is the only household that washes up all of their rubbish but I like to have everything clean to put into the recycle bin. I also try not to use the heating too much. I'd rather put on another jumper. I won't use the car if it's possible to walk. That's better for the environment and my health. I don't waste food. I cook a stir fry or stew at the end of the week to use up any food before I go shopping again. It's so, so important now to do our bit, if not for ourselves for our children

There are many things which we do including
Walking when we can
Recycling all we can
Had new door and new boiler to cut down on waste
Got the tyres of my bike pumped up and using this
Always carry another bag you never know when you need it

use shopping bags again, re-cycle paper, cans, bottles etc in the appropriate bins

I have stopped using cotton wool for makeup removal. I bought some soft cotton discs which are just as good and can be washed and reused for years. Any old T-shirts that are not good enough for the charity shop are cut up and used for floor cloths. The smaller bits are used for removing nail polish.
The main thing I try to do though is not to waste anything.

Growing my own fruit and vegetables and only allowing myself a new piece of clothing for every 3 pieces I donate to charity, while looking for things to donate I found lots of items I haven’t worn for ages and so didn’t need to buy anything new, I was still able to donate lots too.

Recycle as much as possible, only buy what I need and use public transport (when Covid finishes!!)

We recycle and reuse where we can. Walking more instead of driving . Shopping local really enjoying the local farm produce and eggs.

I have given my car away and now walk or go by public transport/ lift share. We never have takeaway food delivery, which I believe is not good: packaging and petrol.

As I don't drive, never been aboard, don't eat meat and recycle as much as I can, I find it hard to come up with new ways I can help with climate change. At the moment my husband and I are picking up litter every day on our local beach, it's amazing and disgusting how much we find each day.

Trying to make sure I am recycling all that I can (not always easy with unclear guidelines across the country).

follow the three Rs in order: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

I recycle and reuse wherever possible and try hard to educate my family to do the same. We shop locally and buy from source when possible. Being in a rural setting, we do ned to use transport, but I am a great list maker to ensure all journeys cover our needs. We grow our own vegetables and keep chickens and geese who devour any scraps not composted and provide delicious eggs. {They also provide excellent fertilizer} Our house is well insulated.

Good clothes we have grown out of have been washed and taken to the Air Ambulance charity shop, put in the Salvation Army collection bin or handed over for use at the Woman's Refuge. We walk everywhere we can, grow a lot of our own veg and shop at the local farm shop for what we need. I batch cook from scratch, keeping the freezer full, replaced the bath with a shower and use eco friendly, compostable, bio degradable products and ditched the plastic.

My household eat more meatfree meals every week
we walk to our local supermarket which means we go more often which increases our exercise.
We recycle whatever we can and dont use plastic bags when buying fruit and veg to reduce landfill.
We purchase high rated energy white goods
We make our own salad pots which is both waste friendly and more ecnomical
We car share to reduce pollution
I make soup out of leftovers to reduce food waste
Rotate childrens toys between families to ensure they are not thrown out when the child has out grown them
Compost any food waste
Recycle clothes on websites to reduce waste

I wear my clothes until they're actually worn out before buying new!
