I'm a big Big fan of Peter James..his Roy Grace novels are genius and I get totally absorbed, you can't beat a good thriller before bed

I love Agatha Christie and the best is Murder on the Orient Express

Martina Cole’s Dangerous Lady was the first book that had me turning pages wanting to find out what would happen next but also not wanting to get to the end because I was so caught up in a very different world.
Have read all her books since, gripping exciting in a sometimes nasty way. Sometimes make me nervous to turn the lights out and go to bed

Sleeping in the ground by Peter Robinson as a good read. It makes a great TV series. I'm bored off L J Ross Detective Ryan they are too much the same. Satanism is over-rated.

Any of the Peter James, Roy Grace detective novels - all brilliant and set in my area so I recognise all the places!

I love books that keep me guessing right until the end.. I absolutely loved Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough, I didn't see the end coming and that's how I like it!

I was brought up on my Mum's favourites - Agatha Christie. I love watching the film adaptations too.

I love all the Kay Scarpetta novels by Patricia Cornwell. I started reading them many years ago when I was my breastfeeding my daughter because it would take forever to feed her! Looking forward to reading this series kept me going during those tiring days and months! And I continued reading and enjoying them in later months and years. It would be impossible to pick a favourite from the series because I particularly like the development of the characters and the relationships between them as well as the storylines.

I love crime thrillers. Always keep me hooked. One of my favourite authors is Linwood Barclay. One I really enjoyed of his was 'Too Close to Home'.

I love the Rebus series set in Edinburgh by Ian Rankin. The books are so descriptive and the plot never fails to excite.

I love the Jack Reacher Books by Lee Childs. His latest The Sentinel is a great read and there is something about the character, Jack Reacher and how he travels around with nothing but a toothbrush on him, which is quite romantic.

I love crime novels and especially PD James, I'd probably pick 'Cover Her Face' as my favourite but just because it was the first and I had so many more to read in the future.

I like Scandi noir books like those by Jo Nesbo. They are so well written.

My first book token of £1 when I turned eleven was spent buying eight Agatha Christie books. Shows you how inexpensive they were!! She will long remained my favourite crime writer. How wonderful her stories have been translated into TV frame and films. Murder genre is still my favourite go to for reading.

Thrillers are my favourite genre of books. I used to love Agatha Christie novels and read all of them as a young teenager. There are so many great thriller writers that it's impossible to pick a favourite book but I would say the Shardlake series by CJ Sansom are top of the list. They keep you guessing right to the very end! What more could you ask from a book?

I love reading thrillers because they keep me interested and keep my brain ticking over. I have read so many in the past, that I can't honestly remember all of them. I did read one book many years ago, while living in London, about a serial killer (I can't remember the name of it) but while I was on the train going to work I was reading it and there was a particularly scary bit which made me jump, slightly shout out and throw the book up in the air ha ha ha. If any of you have travelled on London rush hour trains, you can just imagine the looks I got. Brilliant book through, wish I could remember the name of it

Really enjoy a good crime thriller. Are currently enjoying Angela Marsons DI Stone series they are set in the Black Country local to where I live. It's great recognising places you can place yourself there.

I love nothing more than a good thriller. The plot twists and suspense keeps my mind challenged and it's a new level of escapism.

A good book takes me away from my caring duties for a brief moment and suspends me in another world, in this case far darker than my own!

I think the favourite thriller I've read recently is The Distance by Helen Giltrow which was a real suspense thriller, a modern masquerade which had me absolutely hooked. I've also recently read The Book Club by CJ Cooper which was completely different - but really pacy and fun.

I'm not sure I've read anything by this author, but I'm an avid reader, and love thrillers and I'd love to read these books.

Like mysteries, law, thrillers and would love this book. Fingers crossed

My favourite ever books are both by Josephine Tey, number 1 is Brat Farrar, English countryside, murder in an old English family and horses.
Also The Franchise Affair, clever clever plot, with a satisfactory ending.

My favourite is a real life thriller, The Girl with Five Names.
For me it's the suspense! The young author defected from South Korea, went back in again for relatives and defected a second time. I LOVE Italy BUT instead of getting on and checking out the island on holiday I had to sit down and finish reading this book one day to the end. Each page left you hanging....... it really IS about the suspense.

I love any Scandi noir books my favourites are the Wallander series . Having said this , a recent unexpected like has been murder mysteries set in the UK in World War 2

Any book by Martina Cole. I like the mystery and suspense, the twists and turns until the crime/murder is eventually solved
