The Dentist and Coronavirus

I've been to the dentist this morning to get the penultimate fitting for new crowns. He fixed them to last for the foreseeable future as they are closing down for two months this afternoon. (France).

I would go too. Nothing worse than raging toothache, especially if further down the line surgeries are limited in opening or worse still closed!!!!

I went to the dentist yesterday. Only one other patient in the waiting room. Dentist told me he's had no instructions re closure so far. Had small filling so am glad that's dealt with.

I’m going in an hour to have a temporary cap changed to a nice permanent one. His surgery is spotless and he’s very particular so I’m not concerned. Also he’s in a riskier position than me (and far from poor) so I figure that if he thinks its ok, then it is.

I'm part way through some private dental work and have an appointment tomorrow.
I am going.

I would go to the dentist; if you need fillings they may get worse, and you don't want to suffer toothache and need an emergency appointment.
My dentist frequently wears a facemask, always gloves, and the surgery is swabbed regularly and spotlessly clean. Much more hygienic than the supermarket.
You could arrive in time for your appointment and wait outside rather than in the waiting room until summoned. When over, straight out.

I am due a check up but have decided not to make an appointment. Same with the optician.
I have read the Imperial College report which the government is using and the predicted outcome of the outbreak makes very sobering reading.
(It actually reduced me to tears and I'm normally very hard headed)
