Anyone got a relative abroad? Our Son is on Flores (near Bali) ,Indonesia working on leisure resort which of course has lost all it's tourists. I wonder how long they will keep him on and then he will be on his own with no accom or income.

Our son has lived in CZ for 6 years, he studied at uni in Prague and now has a career with Amazon there.
He has been in lockdown for 2+ weeks, the controls are very stringent. Police will take your phone and check system services to trace your movements.
Punishment can be prison.

He has a heavy responsibility regarding his work, so he is very busy during the day working from home, evenings are tough and lonely for an active rugby playing 26 year old!

Food and medicines are in abundance, no shortage of anything, he has to wear a mask by law when leaving his flat, walks are just to the supermarket or pharmacy, he would love to walk along the river to Old Town square and over Charles bridge to experience his city without the tourists but it is strictly forbidden!

The Czechs are a tough nation and very resourceful due to decades of communism, they do as they are told and do not complain!

The healthcare is outstanding so if the worst comes to the worst he is in safe hands.

The borders are firmly closed to all trains, planes etc and have been for weeks, the Czechs do not travel as widely as ourselves, they have great ski resorts, lakes and mountains so I guess that has offered them some protection.
Jan/Feb are not such busy months for tourism as the weather is often seriously cold and the Xmas markets have shut so their cases are relatively low? 1,654 confirmed cases and 6 deaths to date.

Amazing as an island we couldn’t protect ourselves more!
Seei t the flight arrivals at Heathrow etc online is scary. We are allowing it in.
