Have nhs staff been given a covering letter, stating their essential status?

I have just received one from work, and I can't help but wonder if its in preparation for tighter controls?

Yes, it mentions that, along with other things.

Well, will have to wait and see, I suppose. The main thing is that it gives my name, and details on how to check my identity.

I just keep my NHS ID card on me but my husband has to drive me to and from work so my practice manager gave him a note incase he gets stopped.

I suppose companies are trying to cover all eventualities.

I'm imagining conspiracies and cover ups.

I should go and paint the bathroom ceiling instead, I think.
