Outdoor exercise ban?

Where I live everyone is being very sensible and keeping a distance. Mr B is at this moment out running long footpaths and through fields, if he meets someone they avoid each other by quite a distance. When I was out cycling it was the same, I live in a country town. My son lives in the city and he has said its empty and very few people out, so I don't know who these people are who are breaking the rules, I don't think it can be that many and I would object if they did stop exercise, especially if it goes on for weeks. Why not really clamp down on those that do break the rules.

I was wondering why one of my neighbours suddenly had a dog installed about two days ago and the b;;;;y thing has been up and down outside without a lead for those two days. I will be furious if it comes and bothers my dog who is now 10 years old and there will certainly be cross words exchanged.

I do hope the minority of those flouting the rules do not spoil it for the rest of us. I like to run (not far or fast) but since the lockdown I have gone out once daily to walk my dogs. I miss running but exercise indoors instead and also do some gardening.
If all outdoor exercise is banned I feel that many more people will suffer poorer mental health. Just being outside in the fresh air and observing nature makes me feel so good. I’m lucky I have a garden but that’s not the case for everyone. What about young children in flats with no garden. They really do need to get out and run around for a bit.

Nothing is a step too far if it stops people dying. I'm also in favour of immunity passports even though, as someone that has been self isolating for ages I'd be one of those that haven't had the virus and would probably have restrictions placed on me. I would willingly wear a sack cloth and live on cabbage water for months if it would bring about an end to this nightmare.

As I said in another post than they'll have to watch out for people going to the supermarket/chemist everyday and borrowing neighbours' dogs to go out as they are already doing in Italy and Spain where exercise is not allowed!

What choice is there if people won’t use their brains and be sensible!

Not Matt Hancock’s fault.

If that's what it takes then so be it.

Hancock apparently had said that all outdoor exercise will be banned if people don't obey the rules. Is this right? A step too far?
