New infections

Taiwan use GPS trackers of each individuals movement. Which is why the disease has been contained there.
Now wouldn't that go down a treat here ? I don't think !

Exactly, if someone had only been to work then the infection may we have been caught there, so you could look at infection control in the workplace etc. It seems to me that this could be a useful source of information

How would you know?

If you caught a bus, a train to work, went to work, went shopping, to the pub , coffee shop, drew money from a cash point, met up with friends and family you then may have been incubating the virus for up to 14 days after contact with someone who may have been symptomless.

Obviously it would be easier to recall after lockdown but, even so, many people are still having to go to work.

It would be useful, but as we haven’t closed our borders, I can imagine the paperwork involved in tracing the passengers on a flight in from the USA would be daunting, if we had closed our borders immediately then we could have traced the UK citizens being repatriated much easier.
Even tracing the occupants of a bus that you had travelled on would be impossible.
Anyone going out is at risk, some are more at risk than others.
however, as we know, some people are going out and about and dont catch it.

Moggie, hope you have fully recovered. Yes, so your case would point to public transport. Most of us know our own movements since lockdown so it would vastly reduce the possibilities. With knowledge individuals could take appropriate action. Plus the government could target resources eg deep cleaning etc

when i got my covid virus back in early feb /march ,i just thought it was winter flu except for the fact i had a lot of breathing problems.i did convert to sweet chestnut leaves(country remedy) for the sore throat and hacking cough,but i had to sleep sitting up onv pillows because i had problems breathing .aqnyway i think its public transport thats where we catch the germs ,not having a car.i rely on buses and trains(to see my brother in worthing west sussex. and the dirty trains and buses is awful......

Incompetence, and lack of clarity from the Government, that's why.
