Is anybody trialling this much discussed new phone app?
I think it's a great idea. I don't mind who knows what about me as I've nothing to hide.

I don’t live there but I think we will all be interested to see how successful the App trial there is.

The trouble is to be effective a large percentage of the population will need to participate.

Given the island has a large elderly population, how many people have smartphones, and how many of those who do will be willing to take part?

I think those potential problems was the reason the island was chosen, to enable the government to learn from the results there.

Hello, which symptoms are reported on this app I wonder?

My husband and I report on the Kings College "symptom tracker" app where there are maybe 20 different ones.

I read earlier that this new app only looked for coughing and fever. Am I wrong?

I use the King's College app too notspaghetti
Has yours asked you about HRT? I wonder how that comes into it?

I really wanted to know if any GNs were on the trial of the new app and could shed any light.

We do the King's College App. I too wondered about the question on periods and HRT. It seems there may be a link between levels of oestrogen and resistance to Covid. Hence the question.

Unfortunately, it didn't work properly when I did it the other day. When I answered 'No' to 'Do you have periods?' it wouldn't let me move on. So I had to answer 'Prefer not to say'. I could then move to the final screen.

Hopefully the glitch will have been fixed.

I am definitely impressed with the way the Kings College app is evolving.
And yes, it’s asked about HRT etc. Trying to separate out the male/female discrepancies I assumed. I’m happy for it to process my info as it will certainly lead to a better understanding of this virus.

Is these anyone on Gransnet using the Isle of Wight app that could comment on that one please?
