Then a big billowing skirt without underwear as ladies used to do in the past centuries when public conveniences for women weren't thought necessary!

There's a thought; even if you wear jeans you still wear pants. I realised when I was young and we used to do a lot of travelling, that a billowy skirt was the best thing to wear; bit like your own portable toilet tent.

You can’t use it inside a car (at least I can’t), but you can use it beside the car if you open the front passenger and back door on the same side for cover. Say on the side of the M25 when there’s one of those three hour holdups due to an accident.

You can also buy a female urinal bottle from most Disability suppliers and large chemist shops.
Some people who find standing up unsupported whilst using a Shewee will find tyem a much easier option. They have a slipper shaped funnel area that just slides under the vulva whilst sitting, and catches the urine like a mini bedpan, channeling it into theholding bottlethe same as a mans urinal bottle. Most also come with a screw cap so that emptying can take place at a more convienient location if needsbe. Thesehave been around since Victorian times, and were oringinally made of stone or pottery which could be easily sterilized by heat.

You would have to wear trousers? How do you use it in a car? You would have to be pretty flexible! Any particular reason we shouldn't be using public toilets specifically because of the virus? I've already used it, I was surprised they were open, no one else there.

Yes, you do still need to find a bush, but it’s not so obvious when you can just stand and admire the view rather than expose all in a squat. Just don’t get a bright pink one!

How funny that this thread should appear today - it was only yesterday that I mentioned to DH, while we were out in the car, that I really should buy a Shewee. I'm glad I've read the hints on here about practising in the shower and getting used to it first, before venturing out with it!

You need to use it under the leggings MayBee! We’re all built slightly differently so a bit of experimentation is needed to get the hang of it. Try standing in the shower next time you practice.

As I’m determined to not use public toilets for the foreseeable future I thought I’d try one out yesterday. It went everywhere. Thankfully I did try in the bathroom stood on a towel. I really don’t know how I’m going to master it. And I assume it’s meant to be used when wearing jeans but I only wear leggings these days.

I bought one of these online. The next day I got one of those "....you liked the Shewee, so we think you will like this...." messages and it was offering me a wooden mallet!!!

I could not see the connection until I realised that camping was the link.

I have one of the original ones. It’s bright pink! Works well once mastered, although I did have a near miss when caught short on a very steep hill when I underestimated the slope and inclined backwards instead of forwards! . I agree abut experimenting in the shower before using in the field.

I have used mine on long walks and camping. It does need a bit of practice first. Try it out in the shower before you use it in earnest.

They are standard issue to females serving in the British Armed forces. Part od tgeir induction training is to master the Art of using a SheeWee ready for when they went out on manouvers learning combat techniques and bushcraft.
Also very popular with the Camping and Backpacking enthusiasts, as well as Disabled females who my have bladder urgency where they are often left needing to Pee there and then!
They make it possible for a woman to stand and empty their bladder in the same way as a man does, or with an extention tube and a little practice, whilst seated too!
