There is a great deal of difference between offering a job to someone in a household with one and possibly two people suffering from the virus to offering a job to someone in a household where two people have been away having CV and have only come back when the doctor said it was a) safe to go back to work and b) safe to employ someone.

My friend wasn't going to infect anyone when she went for a walk in the woods with her dogs and saw no-one - so why did she get threatened with a fine if she parked there again? There was one other car in the car park, rarely more even in normal times.

I'm not a fan of Johnson or Cummings but we are going to have to move on from this. I am more concerned about when I can see my family again and get tested for new specs than the lies and excuses trotted out by this pair. Sooner or later both will be held to account.

They may represent this country but they are not making any rules, so it's simply not the same.
A lot of damage as now be done I have sat and watched Boris and to say he used his instinct is nothing but outrageous! Because a lot have been in alot worse painful situations an probably feel stupid/engulfed with guilt that they didn't use their instinct but followed rules.

Grannyjay he chose to go into his current job and therefore has to accept scrutiny. I’m sure he has a fat salary too. I really can’t understand why people believe all the waffle presented by Mr Cummings. My sympathies are with those families who had REAL issues and coped within guidelines.

I think Mr and Mrs C displayed poor judgement with their actions but the vitriol on here and the media, in general, is purely because he led the Leave campaign and is disliked by many. I believe if he had been an arch Remainer then excuses would have been found for him because he must be a decent all round bloke. As for the drive out to B Castle, it makes sense after a car being idle for weeks to do a test drive to check the battery wasn't flat before tackling the long journey home.

If he is forced to resign then all public figures, who travelled to second family homes at the point of or during lockdown and who are paid for by the tax payer, should go too. That includes the Queen, Charles, William, Boris et al, which leaves us with Harry as the Monarch and Queen Markle!
