@MichaelRosen
From the moment I was spotted as having the virus to where I am so far must have pulled in the work and skills of over a hundred people working long hours. The NHS was and is a great leap of the human imagination designed to help us all. Forever grateful and believing in it.

Never more than now.

Good news. So many good people dead so it is heart warming to hear of those alive to fight another day.

" We're not scared. Can't get over it, can't get under it . We'll have to go through it. "

Glad he managed it.

Who's Michael Rosen ?

Bathsheba Sat 13-Jun-20 08:23:21

He’s a children’s author, famous for (among others) We’re going on a Bear Hunt. Wonderful story, loved by children everywhere.

Very well known!

So pleased. Well done to the NHS too!

Happy to hear he’s on the road to recovery. He’s been very ill since early in the pandemic.

My grandkids love his books. There’s a very funny clip on YouTube of him reading his own story “Chocolate Cake”

I'd never heard of him before now but I'm very glad that he's recovering.

Bathsheba Sat 13-Jun-20 08:37:19

Yes I’m so pleased he’s getting through this, wonderful news. And so encouraging for those of us in his age group - it shows that it doesn’t have to be fatal for us.

He isn’t anyone I had heard of until a recent thread re. the teddy bear reasons at windows.
Pleased to hear he is recovering and reading a lovely tribute to NHS.

Absolutely lully - good news indeed.

He also does a very good programme on R 4 on language, called Word of Mouth. Essential listening for pedants?!

Met a dog walker yesterday I hadn’t seen for a while. She’d recently told me her 97 yr old aunt was ill in a care home after testing positive for coronavirus.

So when I saw her approaching I was expecting sad news. Delighted to say I was wrong. The old lady has made a wonderful recovery!

I didn't know the reason of the teddy bears in the windows, now I do! Yes it's always good to know when somebody recovers from this dreaded virus.

They’ve been worried about my low blood pressure but they’ve brought me the Daily Mail so it’ll be fine in just a moment.
