Does this sound right? I'm so confused

DDs entire school year was sent home on Monday because a child tested positive. In the text from school it said she was free to end quarantine next Wednesday, today I've had another text saying someone else has tested positive as well so she has to stay in until 4th November

Well it’s 14 day quarantine if you’ve been in contact with someone who’s tested positive. So that’s sounds right.

Surely it should just be 2 weeks from the day. So Nov. 2nd?

It's 14 days from the second positive test I should think.

But if the child's last contact with the C positive individual was the Monday, it's 2 weeks.

This is what I'm thinking, they keep adding days. And they want her back in school the day after, so she's had no half term break

Well she has, but had to spend it in the house, surely?

My grandson has to go back to school tomorrow for one day after 14 days at home.

14 days from the last day of contact with the infected person. So she would have had to have been in contact with that person yesterday - which she wouldn’t have been if she was SI since Monday.
