Did anyone else see the 83 year old lady being interviewed on TV about Coronavirus restrictions? She said she only has a few years left to live so she won't stay indoors. She can't know if she is carrying the virus without having symptoms and could be spreading it. Surely this is being selfish as staying away from others limits the amount the virus spreads, whatever your age. AIBU?

No, you're not. I had mixed feeling about her. While admiring her spirit I did think she's being thoughtless about others.

She is actually a member of the council and as such should be setting an example I feel.

There was a lengthy thread about Maureen Eemes yesterday.
The general consensous was that she was wrong, irresponsible and not the brightest.
She reckons that she has already had Covid, but she hasn't had a test.

She may want to live her life now (understandable) but there are plenty of us who would prefer to stay safe so that we can enjoy time with our children and grandchildren later. Maybe she doesn't have anyone to want to have a future with. I have friends older than her who are sticking to the rules, so it's not just an age thing.

She is not setting a good example, is encouraging people to be rash and thus being selfish.
