Just for information, my brother is terminally ill in hospital and I was offered a videocall with him as next of kin. What the doctor did not make clear was that this could only be done via Facetime on an iphone4 or iPad Pro, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini. (I got this information from the Which? website.) Luckily I was able to borrow the right kind of iphone from a friend. So if you are offered this facility, be sure to check which phones/Apps are needed (it may differ by hospital).
