His body language was interesting that day. You could see that he was preparing to say something very important and I’m pretty sure no one in the government was expecting it. That’s why he was sidelined for quite a while.

Went up in my estimations over the Cummings fiasco. He speaks in a controlled manner and tells it as it is. No waffle.

I bet he gets a knighthood. He deserves one.

Looking at these posts we could start the Professor Van Tamm fan club on here smile

NotTooOld

I think JVT is lovely, too. I've been trying to find out if he is married and has a family but seems like he prefers to keep his private life private.

Well he did refer to 'Mrs JVT' in one interview this morning... though I suppose that could be his Mum.

Ellianne Thu 03-Dec-20 16:59:56

There's definitely someone who lives with him because he speaks of having conversations about this and that covidwise at home.

MayBee70 Thu 03-Dec-20 16:51:58

Well, we know he’s got a mum! And he loves her....

I actually cried when I saw him on tv today.

kittylester Thu 03-Dec-20 14:08:53

He was on Breakfast this morning.

He inspires confidence.

I agree with all of the above. It was wonderful to see him after the Cummings affair saying just what we were all thinking.
He puts information over very well!

Tweedle24 Thu 03-Dec-20 12:59:59

Just commented about him on the vaccine post. I think he is brilliant — certainly the most convincing of all the spokesmen.

MayBee70 Thu 03-Dec-20 12:48:50

And he was the only one to publicly criticise Cummings which is why he was sidelined for a while. Which is why I trust him.

Mapleleaf Thu 03-Dec-20 12:18:12

I always feel reassured just listening to him. He comes across as a very sensible and no nonsense person.
I imagine he makes his lectures fascinating and understandable with his use of metaphors.
I thought he was excellent on This Morning. He speaks a lot of common sense.

MayBee70 Thu 03-Dec-20 12:13:39

And he’s assured children that Father Christmas will be getting the vaccine ASAP. I knew we could rely on him!

Kate1949 Thu 03-Dec-20 12:03:42

Yes indeed sodapop

I thought that as well Kate1949 a balanced view and I thought he spoke well without getting bogged down in technical stuff.

Kate1949 Thu 03-Dec-20 11:26:03

He's just been on This Morning talking a great deal of sense.

Grannynannywanny Thu 03-Dec-20 08:59:45

Just in case anyone wants to tune in.
