Anyone fed up with people not following the rules

The other day, for the first time ever, I said something. It was to a woman on the bus who was wearing a mask - down on her chin! - and jabbering away 19 to the dozen to a friend.

As I was about to get off, I said, ‘Excuse me, but it’s no use wearing a mask unless it’s covering your nose.’

‘Oh, I know, but I can’t - it steams up my glasses.’

‘You need to get the masks that don’t, then.’
She won’t, though, I bet. It’s about time we had the odd mask enforcer on public transport - like ticket inspectors.

While I’m at it, IMO it should be mandatory for anyone who’s genuinely exempt, to wear a lanyard. It’s far too easy for anyone who just doesn’t feel like wearing one to say they’re exempt.

To the middle aged man I called out in Morrisons whilst he read the papers at the paperstand and put them back after reading I hope your family don't contract the virus after your utter stupidity and thank you very much for telling me to mind my business. Just awful.

We can’t challenge anybody in a supermarket/public transport/indoor venue without a mask as they could be exempted, even if unlikely. Don’t think they even have to have written proof as they do abroad.

Yes, I'm inwardly fuming, but I've taken a step back and just let them get on with it.

Bluebelle sometimes I think the left hand doesn't know what the right hand's doing.

Apparently, if my grocery order contained any alcohol, the alcoholic drinks could not be delivered after 10pm.

Now pubs and other establishments in Wales are not allowed to serve alcohol after 6pm does that mean my Christmas wine will not be delivered this week with my grocery order due after 6pm?
Am I not allowed to have a after 6pm in my own home?

Just ignore and get on with your life. I have had to work the whole of this pandemic, and as someone said upthread people twist the rules to suit their circumstances.
I have seen this in all walks of life. I dont get annoyed as there is nothing I can do about it, and those who are shouting about other people should look at themselves.
I often wonder how some people know or have the time or intrest in what others are doing.

I agree with BlueBelle. I wouldn’t have done at the beginning of the pandemic but I do now. It’s wrong to criminalise people for seeing their families. If you want to lock yourself away for a year get on with it and leave others to do as they wish.

We are in tier 3 Blue5 and it`s unreal the amount of neighbours who are having visitors/relations.
People in supermarkets not distancing or wearing masks.
Do these people think they are invincible ?.
And even more so-called celeb`s are ignoring the advice.
Then again they can afford the fines if caught.
Again, you can`t educate the stupid .

I've stopped watching that progamme since the onset of the virus. Piers appeared to have lost his senses and I got tired of the endless shouting at guests and never letting anyone speak!

However I'll tune in tomorrow to hopefully see Susanna yelling at him and calling him his favourite word, Covidiot!

Yes it does annoy me, but there’s no suprise really, you will always get people that will do what they want, in all walks of life, but what can you do other than try to keep yourself safe,

This is one of the reasons why matters are not improving: some people are wholly selfish and they think that (for whatever reason) they are an "exception" and don't have to follow the rules. (Dominic Cummings being a prime example!)

Not only ignoring but many who think they are following the rules are actually twisting them to suit their own situation.

Best to look the other way. It must be reallyannoying to see rules flouted but being angry isn’t going to change their behaviour and it’s probably not good for one’s blood pressure. Ignore it, keep calm and carry on.

Up until Friday, we were in Level 4 and you wouldn't believe we were in the midst of a pandemic, going by the behaviour of our new neighbours.

However, the best thing is to keep clear of people who break the rules. There will always be selfish, entitled people in society.

If I did, I would spend all my time being angry.
Some think rules are for others not them.
A friend told me over the phone that her 40 something D doesn't seem to realise there is a pandemic on.
They have refused to go to her for Christmas day as she is here there and everywhere.

What do you expect though to be honest ? we have been in and out of lockdown, in and out of tiers, different rules for different parts of the country, and for different periods of time, and for different people, we can come out to play for five days at Christmas, three households of five people

I can be in a bubble with my family who are all working or at school but I can’t have a coffee with my friend when we both live alone
So what rules do do we follow We just have to try and keep to what seems sensible I went shopping today 99.9% of people were masked and using the provided hand gels You can’t expect anything more from the muddle that we ve been given to follow for months

It is selfish Blue5 but has been the same throughout this pandemic. Some people follow rules but too many don't.

This does not bother me too much as I can keep out of their way but I do get annoyed with people not wearing masks in supermarkets. I counted 5 in Tesco last night-all young men.
